High alumina mortar can be divided into clay refractory mortar, high alumina refractory mortar, siliceous refractory mortar, magnesia refractory mortar, etc. according to different composition materials. refractory mortar can be divided into the following three categories according to different binders:
(1) Ceramic bonded refractory mortar, which is a mixture composed of refractory fine aggregate and ceramic binder (plastic clay). It is delivered in a dry state and needs to be added with water before use. It is hardened by ceramic bonding at high temperatures.
(2) Hydraulically bonded refractory mortar is a mixture composed of refractory fine aggregate and hydraulic binder (cement) that plays the main binding role. The delivery state is only dry and can be used after adding water. There is no need to heat when hardening.
